The Great Outdoor Exhibition This Weekend

Harbour Sports will feature as the main sponsor for the Great Outdoors Exhibition taking place on Sunday 30th and 31st May at the Riviera International Centre. "Go Expo is a very positive event to take place in the English Riviera and will significantly raise the profile of outdoor sports available in South Devon," said Frank Sobey, The Great Outdoors Expo will showcase a range of fun family activities such as a Rock Climbing Wall, a Surf Simulator and a Spider Mountain. There will also be thrilling professional demonstrations taking place at 12 pm, 2 pm and 4 pm on both days featuring the spectacular Andrei Burton and his crew. At 23 years old, Andrei is Britain's top mountain bike trial champion, world Elite no 6 and number 2 ranked rider in Europe. His skills allow him to balance almost effortlessly on seemingly impossible positions. Andrei is founder of the company Andrei Burton Events which was formed with the determination to inspire people all over the UK, Europe and World Wide with a spectacular mixture of bicycle Trials, BMX flatland, Free-riding, Free-running and Extreme Unicyclist displays. Part of Andrei's team includes Charlie Eastwood and Michael Preston who will feature at the Show. Charlie Eastwood, who specialises in Free-running, will be dazzling spectators at the Expo with a combination of gymnastics, Parkour and Free-running, and Michael Preston, 23 will be showing off his Free-running skills. Michael has never had any official training, but has been inspired by what the human body can achieve when it is pushed to go that little but further. The rest of the teams biographies will be released over the next few weeks. "This Exhibition aims to provide a platform for local clubs, groups, communities and associations that highlight the many ways in which people can get active in the outdoors," said Kieran Laureston, Expo Organiser.
